what do you think about the fact of the movie "da vinci code".. the conflict with the da vinci code and the church... the big deal is that jesus marry Mary magdalene.. how true in the history?

I saw the movie. It was pretty good. People seem to get all caught up in it and forget that even the author of the book/movie has stated numerous times that it's purely fiction.
I heard from a few people that the movie sucked, but i heard from a few people that it was good. I guess Ill have to go see it myself.

I liked it, and I read on CNN.com somewhere that the book was loosely based on actual findings.
I'm a Jew, so if this is true, it doesn't really affect my beliefs.
For the sake of my friends, I would hope it wouldn't be true, because they are all of a Christian based faith, and it would hurt them.

Yeah! we have different point of views... for me it doesn't really matter if jesus christ marry mary magdalene.. it doesn't affect my beliefs that jesus christ is the most powerful of all..

i saw it, it was a good movie.
i am a preachers kid
so i was raised with christianity
and whether or not, the things in the movie are true
doesnt matter
christianity is a religion based on faith, so true christians should not be phased by the accusations.

But here is a question (just for my curiousity)
What if the theory in The Davinci Code was proven 100% airtight case to be true? Would you feel as though you were deceived by the Church, or would you choose not to believe, even if (like I said) it was proven without a doubt to be true.

Even if Mary's corpse was found, there wouldn't be a way to prove if she had a child with Jesus because there's no way to obtain Jesus's DNA.

I disagree , I hope it's true , women have it hard in this wrold , and mostly because men hold them down. This would be a gret equalizer in many religions.

No it wouldn't - because the men that run the church would choose not to believe it - and as other posts said prior to the forums spam attack - people believe so strongly in their chosen faith that they wouldn't care what was proven as fact or fiction.
On Tuesday I am going to this "Basic Judaism for Basic Jews" class at the West Side Synagogue lol.
