So I think I am going to finally see a play (i saw rent, but that wasn't a true broadway production lol)

I have narrowed down what i want to see:

1. Hairspray
2. Wicked
3. Jersey Boys
4. The Producers
5. The Wedding Singer

i don't wanna see mamma mia, my friend just saw it on broadway and she said it sucked. i don't know, i wish Movin' Out was still playing, i like billy joel lol.

any suggestions. and don't mention lion king or beauty and the beast, i hate the movies!!!!!

now if they had peter pan or cinderella or the little mermaid on broadway, we could talk LOL. rolleyes.gif
Jaccrazy
I'd say number 2~!
Wicked Roks!
LindsayCavalier
yea, they aren't #'d by preference, just numbered to form a nice orderly list.
Jaccrazy

You're funny!
I'm such a spaz, I'm a creator,,,not an organizor!

Have a great night!

I saw Mamma Mia's national tour (same as the Broadway show). It was actually pretty funny.

Out of that list the only one I've seen is "Wicked", so I'd say go to that.
LindsayCavalier
lol.

i will wind up seeing wicked, i know it.

i am going to go buy my ticket right now.
LindsayCavalier
j/k, i will do it when i get to work in the AM, i have no printer for the ticketfast....maybe i can hold them at will call.
Dawn
Im gonna go with Wicked!
Natalie
WICKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!

seeing it live is AMAZING. i've seen wicked live three times & i still lovelovelove it. it'll be a good show too cause eden is playing elphaba & she has an amazinggg voice. in my opinion she's the best elphaba besides idina <3

Hairspray is okay but I'd def go for Wicked over Hairspray haha Wicked & RENT are my favorite musicals.

& yeah I saw Mamma Mia, I thought it was good.

Did you see it with Megan Hilty as Glinda? She was effin' hilarious but I heard she's not on Broadway anymore.
LindsayCavalier
I'm going to see the Wedding Singer tonight.

The company that I work for gets 50% off premium seating broadway tickets lol. I am going to do Wicked on Friday night smile.gif
LindsayCavalier
correction - i will see Wicked on Saturday or Sunday - I want to go see the devil wears prada on friday!

i bought my ticket already!

yessssss. haha i loved her. i thought i wouldn't @ first though because the first time i saw wicked it was when kristin was still glinda & i guess i thought she wouldnt be as good but ahhhh she's such a good actress & vocalist.

no megan isn't glinda anymore sad.gif i forgot who took her place but blahhh. oh well. i heard it was the original glinda for the chicago cast though. & i heard the chick who played libby on sabrina the teenage witch is playing nessarose. lmfao. random.

blahhh all this is making me wanna see it again haha. it's coming back to houston next year around march/april so ill see it then cause i def dont think ill be going to nyc again till next summer sad.gif
Jordan Johnson
Who's Nessarose? I don't remember that character.
LindsayCavalier
Well, I just saw the Wedding Singer, and it was so much better than I expected! It truly is a "suprise hit"

I am buying mu tickets for Wicked tomorrow smile.gif

I may see that on Saturday, and Chicago on Sunday. Anyone "famous" playing in Chicago besides Rita Wilson lol.

elphaba's crippled sister/the wicked witch of the east. she ruled munchkinland & was in love with boq. elphaba called her "nessa" for short.
LindsayCavalier
omg, thank god i didn't buy my tickets yet, because that sounds dumb lol.

no no it's not dumbbb. it's AMAZING. haha omg i cried? yeah. several times. i thought it would be dumb too when i was told the synopsis. but seriously by the end of "no one mourns the wicked" (the first song) youll be like omggggg. & the end is reeeeeeealllyyy good. i wont give it away but there is a twist. smile.gif

it doesn't really have anything to do with the whole wizard of oz scene. it's more about elphaba (the wicked witch of the west), glinda & their lives.

& the songs live are amazinggg. if nothing else go for that haha.

Um, you like Rent. You really have to room to call anything dumb lol.
LindsayCavalier
It's not like I sat in the fucking theater alone and watched Rent. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it is dumb.
LindsayCavalier
And I actually recall saying I wasn't that impressed with Rent on Broadway, so WTF?

The story of Wicked sounds very stupid, but I have heard 2 of the songs, and they are pretty amazing.
Jordan Johnson
Whoa, freak out hahaha. I was joking.
LindsayCavalier
It didn't seem like it.
Natalie
well i just downloaded some songs from a new musical called "the 25th annual putnam county spelling bee" & from what i've heard it's hilarious. it's still playing on broadway too if you don't wanna see 'wicked' lol.
LindsayCavalier
Nah, I'll see Wicked.

I am taking Brandon to go see the wedding singer, since we have IDENTICAL senses of humor and tastes in music LOL.

I think he wants to see something called "Jewtopia" and he wantds to goto a Mets game.
