I do not like the song.
It's like "words words words breathy words PUBLIC AFFAIR words words breathy words A PUBLIC AFFAIR"
Come on now. It sounds like a cross between Madonna's 80's hit "Holiday" and Britney's crappy "Anticipating"
You can goto
Jordan Is Your Homeboy and listen to the song.

Even though it's similar to the songs you mentioned, I like it because it's different and there's nothing like it out right now.

Lindsay, I said the SAME exact thing about it sounding like "Holiday".....actually there is another song I heard at my friends job and the track sounds EXACTLY like "Public Affair" we're trying to find out who sings it......."Public Affair" is such a generic annoying sound...yeah there's nothing out there like it right now because any artist with at least 1% of a brain cell realized that a song that sounds like that went out with the 80's!!!! I understand that Jessica is trying to "have fun" but she could do that and still put out a song that was worth listening to!!!!
Even though she looks pretty on the cover, she could have at least worn a dress that wasn't from a old designer line....I've seen a couple people wear that dress over a year ago....time for a new stylist that actually dresses you nice and NOT in the same/similar dress that other entertainers have worn......
Where has the hot great voiced Jessica gone???? Probably the same place her marriage did:(
Hopefully the rest of her album is better!!!!

Seriously.
And I am pissed about Xtina's new album. It's all a "throwback to the 40's with an urban twist"
It's crap.
CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP!
Thank GOD Something Corporate is going back into the studio.

Actually....I think I'll like her album......there's going to be 23 tracks on it...so there has to be something I like...I like "Ain't No Other Man".......Christina has never really done anything that I've thought was "crap"....so we shall see!!!!
Time to go to Europe where they actually like happy pop music...lol..

Question? Are you sure you truely like the song, and have an un-biast opinion?
Or is her hot looks swaying you partly?
p.s. Totally serious lol! (hehe)
Just wanted to know how much you feel "image" plays apart in peoples views?

Out,

I Agree~!
It's one of my favorite songs recently released!
It Rocks! I love the fusion of old soul, meets new r & b/hip hop!
I think it's hot!
I love that junk! LMAO!
And she's got a lot of it (get it haha)! HAHAH! Jus kiddin!
I always want to hate x-tina,
but always in the end, can't find a vocal reason to dis-like her!
I think her music and voice are beyound belief!
And her "Dirty" show, was way more approiate for an 18 and under audience, than "Shaggy'z"
And they advertised him as a "family show"
(his was totally adult/ and gross with the teenies)
(icky man)
LOL!
Sheesh, Show a little tummy and clevage, and the uppers are like!
Nope gotta be 18,
Waz up with that?
Jus Me HAHAH!

celebs are SO dissappointing me nowadays. sigh.
i'm pissed about christina's new album too. the whole 20's/40's thing got really old + annoying reeeally fast. uuugh. i got two songs that leaked from the album - "candyman" (the other song they have her singing at the end of the 'anom' video) & "slow down baby". "slow down baby" is actually a good song but uuuugh this album seems like one of those that every song sounds the same or something. idk.
& haha i actually like the jessica simpson song. at first i was like what the hell? but then it grew on me. MUCH better than 'fired up'.

Yeah I definitely agree it's a much better choice than "Fired Up".
LindsayCavalier
Jun 28 2006, 4:16pm
but don't the songs "A Public Affair" and "Fired Up" have like the same "i'm going to get my girls and go out to the club" kind of lyrics LOL.
this song may take off from the video, because of the celebs in the video? although, who the fuck cares, i never watch mtv.

LMFAO....yeah.....I think the "celebrity appearances" are there because someone's trying to overcompensate for such a crappy song........I'll still buy the CD, though.....because there cannot be a song on it that sucks as much as "Public Affair".......As for Christina...I've heard a few tracks of her CD...I like the direction she's going in....it's unique!!

I don't like unique. I like what I like. I will preview the CD on iTunes before commiting to buy it, and even then, I will not buy the album, I will purchase by song.
This song has grown on me.... I have it on my ipod and i admit, that i do kind of like it better than when i first heard it.
